Andre Pierce is the Founder and President of York Academy. A native of Portland, Oregon, he brings a deep-rooted commitment to community, education, and youth development. Mr. Pierce earned his degree from Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana an experience that helped shape his leadership style and ignite his passion for service.
As a devoted father to Andrea, Ashton, and Za'Niyah, he is personally invested in creating meaningful opportunities for young people to grow and succeed. Through York Academy, Mr. Pierce envisions a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment that serves as a beacon of hope empowering youth to discover their potential, broaden their horizons, and confidently pursue the many opportunities life has to offer.

Raised in Portland, Oregon, I had many highs and lows in my young adult life, ranging from my involvement in the Bridge Builders program to my incarceration. These experiences helped me see the gaps and issues for people in minority communities and where assistance is needed—it starts with our youth! I have a background in social human services, public speaking, business management, and class facilitation, along with a plethora of other skills and experiences I am eager to share and use to help make our kids' futures brighter. I am the father of six beautiful children and a shoulder to all our youth.

In addition to her role at York Academy, Tasha has built a 20-year career at the airport, reflecting her strong work ethic and professionalism. She is the proud mother of Taraji and values family deeply. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, shopping, and spending quality time with loved ones.
